Thursday, September 23rd is our Scavenger Hunt, up to three teams will search all over campus for photos of specific places. No skateboards or scooters (for safety reasons). Cut-off times for those who want to participate is 4:05. Be there by 4:05 to be able to play.
Our first field trip will be to Mitsuwa on Friday September 24th during one of their fair events.
-Mitsuwa is a Japanese grocery store in Edgewater, NJ that borders a Japanese trinket store, and a bookstore. As of right now, we have several generous people who are offering to carpool members there.
-We’re planning to meet up at the RED HAWK DINER.
-There will be drivers who will meet up with people at 1 PM and 4 PM
-Those who get out of class at 5 are advised to be aware of heavy traffic.

Wednesday September 15th is the day we’re getting our bill taken care of in the SGA meeting. Show up at 2 PM in the big glass room in support of Japan Club!
Japan-O-Tainment nights begin tomorrow night at 8 PM in the old commuter lounge in the Student Center. Be sure to vote for the show we’re viewing at MSU Japan Club’s Media group on Facebook.
Our Iron Chef Competition is Wednesday November 10th.
-We voted on our secret ingredient, which is going to be GINGER!
Our Cosplay Dating Auction will be Thursday, November 18th 8-10PM. People will be bought with monopoly money while dressed as anime/video game characters. FUN! We sent around a sign-up sheet for people interested in being auctioned off.
Our Halloween event; Zombie Run will be held in the Student Center Quad.
-In Kathy’s words, it’s basically Resident Evil with Nerf guns. This will be held October 30th from 2-5PM. We’ll talk more about it as the date gets closer.
October 20th is our Fall Festival, meant to emulate an actual Japanese cultural festival including traditional foods, games, performances, and crafts.

Our Historian group in Japan Club is going to consist of people attending Japan Club events, taking pictures, and putting together a scrapbook of instructions of how to run certain events.

Anybody who wants to do presentations can sign up and do one. They can be about anything related to Japanese culture
-Ones we’ve done in the past include Gothic Lolita fashion, Visual Kei, geishas, and Godzilla movies.
-Possible topics include Matsuri, kendo, Japanese court women, Crackers, and desserts.
