Full disclosure: As most of you have noticed, I am in my final semester of the teacher Ed program. I'm really hoping to plan and execute a great lesson and include this as evidence of my awesomeness in my teaching portfolio.

So there are quite a bit of art lessons I can choose from, I am hoping to get some feedback. Some ideas floating around...

- A lesson on haikus and painting using sumi ink and a blowing technique to create sakura branches

- A lesson on laterns, with calligraphy to decorate

- origami, but honestly its a little complicated when you have everyone at different levels trying to do different things.

- Washi related crafts... I'm leaning towards making a washi paper lantern, if I can get the materials...

- Washi eggs (like an easter egg, you use paper to cover a hollow egg and varnish, looks awesome!)

And a note on what I will NOT be doing...

- Cooking... as much as I love it, this won't be appropriate as an "art" lesson... >_>

- Drawing manga/anime style... mostly because I am so not qualified to lead a lesson on this.
