[Pumpkin Party] - Halloween Chill Out - Oct 29 (Fri) @ 5pm

Come to watch a movie, carve pumpkins, and enjoy refreshments and snacks!

Carving Pumpkins

Making pumpkin waffle cookies/pancakes

( Microwave on high power for seven minutes per pound, turning pieces every few minutes to promote even cooking. Process as above )

Need:

pumpkin carvers
big knifes (for e-board ONLY)
ziplock bags (need a place to store the pumpkin goodness)
hardcore spoons
waffle iron
griddle
2 big mixing bowls
2 mixing spoons
spatula
display plates
serving plates

Pumpkin Recipes (post some more!)

cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup pumpkin puree
1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

microwave the pumpkin, 7 minutes, put some moisture in there. (microwaveable bowl, small) soft flesh facing down.
Directions
In a bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, oats, baking soda and cinnamon; stir into creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin. Fold in chocolate chips.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-13 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield: 4 dozen.

I sent an email a while back but never recieved an answer so I'll say it again. If you want I own the Danger After Dark box set that includes movies Moonchild, Suicide Club, and 2DLK so if you would like to borrow it for viewing, I am willing to do so, I only will be unable to participate in the watching due to lack of transportation.

I also may possibly be able to get Hebi ni Piasu (Snake and Earrings) from a friend if wanted.
