Meeting begins: 5:35 PM

Japanatainment Night begins tomorrow night at 8 PM in the old commuter lounge in the Student Center.
-We’re watching Azumanga Daioh!

Thursday, September 23rd is our Scavenger Hunt, up to three teams will search all over campus for photos of specific places.
-Meet at the Student Center Quad before 4:05 PM.

Our first field trip will be to Mitsuwa on Friday September 24th during the Hokkaido Festival; one of their fair festivals.
-Mitsuwa is a Japanese grocery store in Edgewater, NJ that borders a Japanese trinket store, and a bookstore. As of right now, we have several generous people who are offering to carpool members there.
-We’re planning to meet up at the RED HAWK DINER.
-There will be drivers who will meet up with people at 1 PM, 4 PM, and another sometimes after 4 PM.
-Those who get out of class at 5 are advised to be aware of heavy traffic on the way to Edgewater.

Japan Club’s old office (Room 112 in the Student Center) can be used for spiritual events such as Tea Ceremonies.

Our Program Coordinator Jess told us that members can decorate our billboard with pictures and small crafts such as origami.

Our first bake sales are going to be October 13th and November 3rd, each from 12-4 PM in Dickson Hall.
-In preparation for our bake sales, we will have bake nights the night before in Sinatra Hall’s kitchen.
-In addition to bake nights, we’re also going to teach people how to bake.

Japan Club Historian Committee try to come to each of the events!
-Take notes, get pictures, and generally get information for the scrapbook.

According to Quel, there’s going to be a cosplay event in a Montclair bookstore with a photographer! This will be October 2nd in the evening, more info to follow!
